Sony Open Tennis – March

Mar 17 – Mar 30, 2014

Each spring the Sony Open Tennis brings the greatest tennis players in the world to the Crandon Park Tennis Center. The Sony Open field features several Grand Slam champions, including Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams.

With such a tremendous player field one might forget that the two-week combined event is more than just tennis. It has become the standard for first-class sporting events. High fashion, great food, fabulous shopping and celebrity musical performances have made the Sony Open the most glamorous stop on tour. The tournament site has something for everyone to enjoy.

When you’re not watching the matches make sure to check out the Entertainment stage and see live musical performances and special events, enjoy a meal with your family at one of the many food options, or relax with friends at the Bombay Sapphire Lounge, Corona Beach House or Veuve Clicquot Champagne and Sushi Bar.

Previous years’ Sony Open Tennis boasted record attendance numbers with over 300,000 spectators visiting the tournament, and that’s no surprise. The Sony Open was the place to be seen with some of the biggest celebrities visiting, including actors Rob Lowe, Kevin James, Bridget Moynahan and Jeffery Donovan; the Today Show’s Star Jones; international recording artists Calvin Harris, Flo Rida and Austin Mahone; and sports stars Alex Rodriguez, Greg Norman, Dario Franchitti, Tony Kanaan, Ryan Tannehill and Bryant McKinnie just to name a few.

The Sony Open also provides guests with a full days worth of entertainment. Fans were also treated to live entertainment and player question and answer sessions on the Sony Open Entertainment stage. Even if you are not a tennis fan there is always something for you to enjoy on the tournament grounds.
